The &#8220;Blog Content&#8221; Tweet<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56697\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/twitter-lead-machine-img5.jpg\" alt=\"twitter-lead-machine-img5\" width=\"580\" height=\"372\" \/><br \/>\nI have written 527 blog posts over the last 5 years.<br \/>\nOver 300 of my evergreen (content that is still as relevant today as when it was written) blog posts are loaded into a single queue with one being posted <strong>automatically<\/strong> every 35 minutes. The results of one of these evergreen posts?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>20,000+ impressions,<\/li>\n<li>100+ link clicks, and<\/li>\n<li>57 retweets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is how you begin building your machine. Loading your content into an automated scheduler (I&#8217;ll show you some of mine in just a minute) and putting it in front of your audience. They can&#8217;t click if they don&#8217;t see it!<br \/>\nDon&#8217;t think you need to get fancy either &#8212; posting your blog content can be as simple as posting the headline of the post and a link to it.<br \/>\nBonus: If you do want to change up the style of your post, create an image with your headline and drop that picture into your tweet! See which one performs better and you&#8217;ll learn a little bit about what grabs your audience&#8217;s eyeballs.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56715\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/twitter-lead-machine-img13.jpg\" alt=\"twitter-lead-machine-img13\" width=\"400\" height=\"425\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>2. The &#8220;Value-Added&#8221; Tweet<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/twitter-lead-machine-img6.jpg\" alt=\"twitter-lead-machine-img6\" width=\"580\" height=\"372\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Can you tell I am selling you a book? <\/strong><br \/>\nTweets like this helped push <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Will-Real-You-Please-Stand-ebook\/dp\/B00ODIC23S\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">my book<\/a> to #1 in several categories for several weeks on the Amazon bestsellers list earlier this year.<br \/>\nI pulled quotes from the book and turned them into graphics and added the book branding together with a special hashtag, #beyou, that worked with the book\u2019s topic. I receive tons of traffic, people love the quotes and <strong>I sell books each and every day using these value added quotes.<\/strong><br \/>\nYou say, \u201cWell you only sold 4 books from this tweet\u201d. True, but I have 10 book quote tweets a day running 7 days a week.<br \/>\nDid I mention I sell books each and every day?<\/p>\n<h3><strong>3. The \u201cFree Offer\u201d Tweet<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56699\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/twitter-lead-machine-img7.jpg\" alt=\"twitter-lead-machine-img7\" width=\"580\" height=\"309\" \/><br \/>\nI currently have 5 free eBook links to which I promote 2-3 times per day on Twitter. This particular tweet got 5 link click and 6 retweets.<br \/>\nIs that a big deal? Yep!<br \/>\nEach eBook has an opt-in and leads into a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/customer-value-optimization\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sales funnel<\/a> to a related product. I add 5,000+ subscribers to my list and get nearly as many sales leads every month <strong><em><u>without spending a penny on advertising.<\/u><\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nThis link is particularly clever as it takes you to a custom app on my Facebook Fan Page. <strong>This strategy drives my Facebook fan count up!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>4. The &#8220;Humor\/Personality&#8221; Tweet<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/twitter-lead-machine-img8.jpg\" alt=\"twitter-lead-machine-img8\" width=\"580\" height=\"347\" \/><br \/>\nSocial media is personality-driven and it is VERY possible to show your personality on Twitter. Take a peek at the traffic and embedded media views.<br \/>\nI also brand all of my graphics. If you look closely at the graphic you will see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kimgarst.com\/blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">our logo<\/a> in the bottom right hand corner. Brand impressions are HUGE in the marketing world and <strong>it\u2019s important to make sure you take advantage of all your real estate to get that message out there<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>5. The Other People\u2019s Content &#8220;OPC&#8221; Tweet<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56701\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/twitter-lead-machine-img9.jpg\" alt=\"twitter-lead-machine-img9\" width=\"580\" height=\"371\" \/><br \/>\nI routinely share \u201cother people\u2019s content\u201d.<br \/>\nWhat types of things do I share? Interesting articles and tweets that have value to my community.<br \/>\nIt shows that I am keeping up with content that matters to them and <strong>develops relationships with the people whose content I tweet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>6. The &#8220;Motivational or Inspirational&#8221; Tweet<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56702\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/twitter-lead-machine-img10.jpg\" alt=\"twitter-lead-machine-img10\" width=\"580\" height=\"660\" \/><br \/>\nJust like on Facebook, motivational or inspirational content gets great engagement. Look at this tweet that was retweeted 123 times!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>7. The \u201cMy Content In Other Places\u201d Tweet<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56703\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/twitter-lead-machine-img11.jpg\" alt=\"twitter-lead-machine-img11\" width=\"580\" height=\"378\" \/><br \/>\nWhat a great way to build business relationships, seed my authority and generate traffic.<br \/>\nWhen I do write content for other people I make sure to support traffic to that content on my social media sites. The \u201cTips\u201d Tweet<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56704\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/twitter-lead-machine-img12.jpg\" alt=\"twitter-lead-machine-img12\" width=\"580\" height=\"664\" \/><br \/>\nPeople LOVE tips!<br \/>\nIn the early days of social media I used to give tips on how to do various different things on each social media site. Now I focus more on social selling, general business and leadership tips.<\/p>\n<h3>9. The &#8220;Retargeting&#8221; Tweet<\/h3>\n<p>This\u00a0retargeting tweet was used to create a Facebook <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/cheap-high-converting-traffic-social-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">custom audience<\/a>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56695\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/twitter-lead-machine-img3.jpg\" alt=\"twitter-lead-machine-img3\" width=\"580\" height=\"429\" \/><br \/>\nI <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/facebook-advertising-pixels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pixeled<\/a> the page to create a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmarketer.com\/cheap-high-converting-traffic-social-media\/\">Facebook custom audience<\/a> to later run advertising for a new product I recently launched.<br \/>\nThe understanding here is that if they&#8217;re clicking to read my post about making money with Facebook, it&#8217;s safe for me to assume they&#8217;ll be interested in a product geared towards&#8230;.wait for it&#8230; making money with Facebook!<br \/>\nThis tweet\u00a0gave me an extra 60 people to pixel &#8212; who will hopefully purchase my new product!<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Selling on Twitter<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Did you notice what type of Tweet did NOT make the list?<br \/>\n<strong>The &#8220;Direct Sales&#8221; Tweet.<\/strong><br \/>\nI very rarely will run a tweet directly to a product. I used to but I found out very early that it didn\u2019t work and for\u00a0the most part, annoyed people. Companies that think of Twitter as just another \u201cpush\u201d marketing tool invariable fail fast and quit Twitter because they don\u2019t see results.<br \/>\nInstead, I think of Twitter as a long-term relationship building tool I can use for traffic to my content and as an entry point to my free offers which then lead to sales funnels where I can sell them my products and services.<\/p>\n<h2>Pick the Right Tools<\/h2>\n<p>Guess how long it takes me to\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage 360,000+ followers,<\/li>\n<li>Tweet almost 100 times a day,<\/li>\n<li>Add 10,000 followers\/month to my community,<\/li>\n<li>Engage with 100,000 people\/year (55,000+ so far in 2015),<\/li>\n<li>Get 400,000+ bit.ly link clicks?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About an hour a day &#8212; and I owe it all to my tools.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/hootsuite.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hootsuite<\/a> is a great tool for engagement.
